North Vancouver
The Lynn Valley Headwaters are a short drive from Vancouver. There are a number of hiking trails ranging in difficulty. Some of the trails are large graded gravel paths, others are narrow winding trails over roots and logs. The variety of trails gives you the ability to come back many times to explore the area.
From the main trail you can also cross over a short distance to Rice Lake and another set of trails. In the spring the headwaters a raging pouring tons of water. In the winter the water is quieter but the trails still have much to offer. It is almost like hiking a completely different area.
