Alice Lake is just outside Suamish, a beautiful area. From what I understand this area is very busy in the summer.
This was our first time out here, as we hit Squamish we realised that my fleece had not been packed. We stopped in Squamish and managed to find a Fields where we were able to find a fleece, not a great one but adequate, for about $5. Just before leaving we heard on the radio news played in the store, "..something...Alice Lake...something....snowplow". We continued up the highway and were suddenly met with raging snow. We made it into the park and found parking just outside the campground. We hiked around for a couple of hours but were unable to follow the lake trails we were looking for. So we cooked lunch in the snowy campground and headed home. Alice lake 1 us 0
