Golden Ears Provincial Park

Golden Ears Provincial Park
Golden Ears Site

It is a short drive from Burnaby to Golden Ears Provincial camp site.  They have a very well maintained campground.  The campground is usually very populated with local campers, families, music, trucks and RVs.  Their sites are all drive in, they have built in fire rings, picnic tables and some have tent platforms.  There is year round camping and fees are always in effect.  Different sites here have different fees and the fees may vary through out the year depending on the facilities and camp site.  There are canoe opportunities but for the most part it is an open lake.  We carried our canoe from our campsite to the lake.  The path was a little hilly but manageable.  You can rent canoes and kayaks at one end of the lake but that also means the lake is
quite populated.  There are also motor boats on this
lake.

There are also many trails, only some of which I have been on.  Camping here isn't much of an adventure but gave us a chance to test some of our new gear. This is a great site for families that want showers and flush toilets.  Getting away but not to far.  You are also able to reserve sites to ensure there is one.  I used to come here with my father when I was younger and always had a great time.
